I've seen firsthand how technology can improve every day life. I'm passionate about providing better digital solutions to people and businesses in complex situations. Outside of UX, I enjoy visiting animal sanctuaries, building things, writing comedy skits, attempting to learn new languages, watching movies, making bad pottery, and appeasing my senior poodle.
With a passion for people and curiosity that knows no bounds, I've embarked on a journey through various professions, each rooted in a commitment to leaving the world better than I found it. Although animal welfare has a huge chunk of my heart, product design found me and I haven't looked back since. I bring a unique blend of expertise in the following ways:

EdTech Enthusiast: With several years of experience in the field of educational technology, I've had the privilege of working on projects that have the potential to revolutionize learning. Since edtech is fairly new, it can be unpredictable which has taught me how to use data to pivot and quickly iterate on designs at any moments notice. Whether it's designing for children or adults, I thrive in designing interactive learning experiences and adjusting to the ever changing education landscape.
Psychological Insight: My background in psychology is a huge driving force behind my design philosophy. I believe that understanding human behavior, motivations, and cognitive processes is paramount in creating products that resonate with users on a deeper level. This knowledge allows me to design and conduct user tests on experiences that are not just user-friendly but also emotionally and psychologically engaging.

Gamification Advocate: Gamification is not just a buzzword for me; it's a passion. I firmly believe that the principles of game design can be harnessed to make learning and everyday tasks more engaging and enjoyable. I have experience designing various game mechanisms, onboarding experiences, reward systems + dashboards, and UI assets.

Accessibility Advocate: Inclusivity is at the core of my design philosophy. I believe that technology should be a tool for empowerment, and I work tirelessly to create experiences that are usable and enjoyable by everyone. In my previous roles I conducted accessibility audits, design QA's, and was dedicated to ensuring that our designs and our UI were WCAG compliant. I have some working knowledge of CSS so I can create feasible solutions and design with the backend in mind.
